I have taken chap 7 and received the discharge a few weeks ago. The mortgage company filed to have the first mort removed from the bankruptcy so they could forclose and sell the house. It was approved. Now my question: I still have the option to reaffirm this debt under the future court meeting in the state court for the forclosure. So far, I have planned to give up the house (one of the reasons for the bankruptcy), but I had a thought....if I reaffirm the first mortgage, do I still have to reaffirm the SECOND mortgage which is with a different company and was not removed from the bankruptcy? If I don't, I might be able to afford the house, now that I don't have the heavy credit card debt. Thanks a lot
