You are going to be in the soup no matter what you do.Your home can be liened, (less $10,000 equity exemption) in a judgment,or liquidated by the trustee in a BK,--so the safest thing for you to do is to take the $$ you were going to use to file BK and get a lawyer to FIGHT the Citibank claim. If you try to settle, all your other accounts will come after you too.

I still think you have several good defenses to fight the Citibank claim, including bad faith,usury etc.

In any case you need a consumer lawyer to help you.
