I got a credit card through First National Bank of Marin www.fnbmarin.com

I know people have had problems with them, but if you read the agreement and pay DILIGENTLY, they are no trouble. I have a $200 limit and I use it to pay small monthly bills. I then turn around and send a check immediately. Because of this method, I never go over my limit, I never pay interest charges, and they report favorably to CRA's each month. I have an 8 month history with them now and it has really helped.

They have a small application fee, and also an annual fee (which you can pay in installments of $7.50 per month). The small fees are worth it to develop the history. Good luck!

By the way, my credit at the time was 562 and I got this card as unsecured.
