I had a $38 entry on my CR from this CA for Ampco System Parking. Ampco is a private company owning parking meters in Salt Lake City, UT. The date was from 9/16/2001. I disputed as not mine and today I received a letter from the above-mentioned CA. I did pay for a parking ticket and the check did not clear my bank. I cleared this up immediately and I have since closed that bank account. The CA actually had the audacity to send me a "Credit Application" to "decide the amount of payment". What the...? What would be the best way to validate this? What exactly should I ask for? I know it is only a small amount, but I am 100% positive I paid this. I just can't find proof. I am going to check with my old bank, but it is so old that I'm sure they will tell me to pack sand.
