I worked hard for the past 5 years to cleanup my credit and had perfect credit till this week with scores above 800. Suddenly, I have an account closed by creditor for non-payment. This account is my wife's and I am an authorized user. She and I didn't use this account for almost 2 years now. Citi sent us new cards a couple of months ago and we didn't even activate them. The balance is under $100 which is a drop in the sea for me. I am really pissed off with Citi now. We never got a single phone call or letter warning us of any outstanding balance. I will obviously try to get this off my credit report. What is the best way to go about it? Thanks.
