gee how generous of them. you get a paid collection tradeline. bad bad. Get the entire thing in writing. It must say the settle offer will make the debt paid in full and they will agree to delete their tradeline. If they give an excuse they cannot send it in writing then give them nothing. I cannot tell you how many thousands of people I have seen come on the forums reach a verbal agreement only to find out they got the screwjob.
