LOl. Set them up for the big thud? The big thud has already happened if you have not noticed- they are here. Ok they are about to be sued so they decided to use the shorter sol as their defense. Let us say they lose and now where are they- exactly back where they started had they not come here. The fact is many many people have used is with success. Of course whychat and others tell people to ask for proof the the debt. That would be idiotic to not even try. Your problem is that if the alternative is used up then just give up. Go the the collectionindustry website and ask them if a cc is open or written. All of then, every single one when asked, said a cc is open ended and one of them was a former trainer for the ACA. My own attorney said they are open ended. Camco stopped suing because people were filing countersuits not because they ran out of funds. Asset gets all their money from lawsuits. Camco also knows the FTC is watching them to see if they file suit on time barred debts that fall under the open ended agreement. Do not believe me? Who cares. I have talked to the head investigator for the FTC many times and this person specifically said if camco sues they are in deep doodoo.
