I suggest you see a BK lawyer immediately to get some correct answers.You have to BE a legal resident of the State you are filing in for a period of time, and only a qualified BK lawyer can figure that out in your circumstances.

Plus, if your divorce settlement required you to pay any JOINT credit card bills, and you declare BK, you may be sued by your ex.

Plus, there is no way of knowing what your "distributed" assets are, or if they would be exempt from BK or judgment lien.
