There are quite a few of us around here that know all about CAMCO, especially Scott who is in the middle of a personal vendetta against them. In response to your questions: 1. No. By law they get one more call to tell you what action they intend to take on the account. After that any other calls are in violation of the FDCPA, which they seem to flagrantly disregard. Expect them to keep on calling. I suggest you get a telephone recordig device from radio shack or the likes and start recording the calls. Check your states wiretapping laws to be sure its legal first. If your in a one party consent state, you should be golden. When they call, ask them who is calling, why they are calling, and tell them they are to cease and decist from further communication. Then hang up. 2. Yes you should. In addition Scott has the names and numbers of some law firms who are pursuing class action lawsuits against CAMCO and a list of all the agencies you need to contact. He should be along sometime. 3. Yes they have been known to put illegally reaged debts on credit reports. Check your reports to see if its on there. If it is, dispute as "obsolete and being illegally reaged".
