my 8000 debt is starting to scare me. they got a hold of me yesterday and the intimidation stuff happened. i told them i am flat broke. recent grad, currently no job, vehicle broke, told them i could start making payments just as soon as a job is found. since i couldn't 'make a payment at this time', this a**hole stated i won't waste your time, said 'i'll just mark this as refusal to pay' and hung up immeidately. i have this SOBs name. the interest on this account has made it now around 9000. i'm not paying this guy a freaking cent because i know that added 1000 in fees are most likely illegal. i'm still 3 years away from the SOL (live in northern IN) the debt is legitimate, that is when it was originally around 8000. its with sherman acq, been reading about them, they're not to nice it sounds. so for anyone out there. is the validation letter stuff worth a try for me. i thought those were only within 30 days of receiving their letter. its been months since i got anything in writing. if so, could someone give me the basics on writing one.
