What should i do with Collect America

I had about 9,000 chrged-of by Direct Merchants bank
credit card debt in October and then they sold it to Collect America(CAVC). i got letter from Neuheisel Law Firm,P.C. and parraligal try to collect whole amount,
then 25% and the rest in monthly installments and finally she agreed to 200 a month payments by western union. I was surprized that she said tha no papers (contract)will be send to me. I thought it's strange.
Anyway my question if i stop payments waht chance they
will sue me and if they will what would be financial outcome for me (i live in NYC).
