My credit repair suggestions for the New Year:
( NO CHARGE )

Do NOT buy anything on credit you do not NEED.

Pay your bills promptly.

If you cannot pay your credit card bills AND the neccessities of life, DO NOT PAY THE CREDIT CARDS.

If you CAN settle with the ORIGINAL creditor, or go on a "hardship" program WITHOUT hurting yourself or your family's basic needs, do so, and get a 1099C for the forgiven debt.

If you can't do that and your basic assets are protected, declare BK.

If your credit card accounts go to charge-off, do what "Parry" did, or whatever version comes closest.Lie low, get an unlisted # put your bank accounts where they can't be touched (change banks from the one you were using to pay your CC accounts)

Wait out the SOL, then start repairing your credit.
