Do yourself a favor, and lower your stress to boot, change your phone number to an unlisted. The first rule of all debt collection, is never talk to them on the phone. Never, not even if your house is on fire and they tell you they will call the fire department for you. As for your concerns, it's more than likly a CA pulling a scam on you. You got to think, if you were CA and your paycheck depended on it, what would you tell someone like you?
