If you were properly served, then the judgment will stand. Your best hope now is to see if a consumer lawyer will take up your case in the federal courts as what they did is illegal. A good lawyer might be able to turn things around, although the judgment will stand.

However, you handed them the victory by not responding. For all others in the same situation, do not ignore a summons. You must respond to the suit within the time limits.

You must raise affirmative defenses on your first response or you lose your right to assert them. SOL defense is an affirmative defense.
