The seven year law of negative reporting only applies to the credit bureaus. It does not apply to businesses who supply to the credit bureaus databases and choose to incorporate that databasing into their own comprehensive databasing.

Some of your more sophisticated prime lenders use many sources of datagathering and they keep all old data records on hand.

He is basically telling you that if you want to get a loan by his company, you will have to clean up your credit by paying off these old outstanding bills.

You may have to try another lender or pay the bills off.
