Seven years from the date of charge-off regardless of what company is compiling the information. If it's a report on your credit it is a credit report subject the the FCRA! I agree with Why Chat - it sounds like some kind of scam. You MUST receive a notice that you've been turned down and it must include the report that was relied on when making that decision. Get a copy and look at it yourself. While your at it, get a copy of Trans Union, Experian and Equifax and see if any are being reported after 7 years.
