Be careful with charging back on the collection agency. Now that they have your account number and a successful charge on your account, this could cause problems in the future.

Number one, the CA will definitely challenge your chargeback and represent it to the bank. You could end up having the charge pop up weeks later or months later over and over again.

They may even be so bold as to charge a crazy amount to your card to scare the crap out of you. For instance, one day you'll check your statement and there could be a $1200 charge on their. You'll get rid of it, but that will be their way of saying, "Suck that original charge or there will more billing mistakes."

Also, sometimes CC issuers are funky about backing you up on a chargeback to a collection agency, because they know that a lot of people pay off debts with debit or credit cards for mortgages and then chargeback after closing, etc. So be careful about getting your account flagged as a frivolous chargeback artist, you know? That could ruin your credibility for future valid chargebacks.
