I have a debt thats been sold 3 times now, and is currently with a CA in Ketucky for a car loan back in 92-93. Original debt was 3527.00 They're now trying to get 7000+ out of me for interest and so called attorneys fees. I never recieved a summons to appear anywhere. Without me going to court there was never a judgement against me. Well, atleast that I know of. It's not on my credit report, and I just bought a house 8 months ago.

I think they're on there last legs with me, and are saying whatever to try and get money out of me. They told me that if I paid them 3600 they would take it off. They also told me they would garnish my wages and freeze my bank accounts if I didn't. More scare tactics?

From what I've read here the SOL is way passed. 6 years on a written agreement in Oregon. It's almost 10 years to the day since the debt was delinquent. The only thing other than 1 letter I've recieved. Was a phone call to my employer verifying my employment.

Do they have a leg to stand on?
