WAIT. Read up on being responsible with money, with credit. DON'T be impulsive. Remember, those cute jeans you charged on your credit card will come back to haunt you next month plus interest if you only pay the minimum.

I was 18 when I got my first credit card. I am now 33 and after all of these years juggling credit cards, getting cocky with payments and having life happen I realise it's time to call it quits. I am declaring Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. Up till this past year I SWORE this would never happen to me. But you know what, it did. It's my own fault and now I have to pay the price.

BE RESPONSIBLE. You have plenty of time to establish your credit as an adult....in fact, creditors LOVE college students because they are easily impressed and it's even easier for them to tempt you into being stuck with credit card debt as the years roll on.

READ and be saavy when it comes to your money so you don't end up racking up thousands of dollars in debt. It's NOT worth it. Trust me.
