Well, you are right about lawyers.

They do not know everything.
So, what you need to do, is to find one who has extensive knowledge of your particular area of need. You would not go to skin doctor is you needed heart surgery.

It does not hurt to do your own research- then you really own the issue and can discuss it with your chosen lawyer.

A well informed, proven lawyer can be an asset beyond your wildest dreams. They know the territory, where the trap doors are, and how to keep the other side on the defensive.
