Why would anyone want to recontract with a creditor for any amount?

As far as the argument going on - if someone posts bad advice mised in with things you know and understand, they can confuse you.

One of the things we do here is make sure the advice given to consumers is NOT going to hurt them. If you follow this advice, you are admitting the debt. If you actually recontract, in some states you re-start the statute of limitations.

So, if someone is posting bad advice here, you can expect to see people aruge with it. You are free to disagree, of course. ;)
