If you own a house, have a job and live in Indiana, you are in deep doo doo. You can't hide, and MBNA wants their money.

I assume you are in deep otherwise also. If so, consider seeing a bk attorney. MBNA isn't going to lie down. They only do that for congressmen who sponsor their version of the bk bill.

If you allow this to go to a default judgment, and don't pay it then, they can place a lien against your house. The lien will sit there, earning interest at whatever rate Indiana allows, until you refinance or sell your house. Then they get their money. It can strip you of any equity you might have.

Take action now. Don't go for one of the big bk outfits that advertises all over, look for a general practice attorney who lists bk as one of his areas of practive. Probably will list real extate closings and things like that also.

The big bk outfits do a cookie-cutter job of your bk. YOu want personal attention. If you aren't comfortable with the first one you see, go see another one.
