NCO is calling and threatning to sue!!!

I recently was sent a notice by my cc company that the account had been closed for lack of payment and now today I got a call from this guy from NCO...he left a message saying if I did not contact him he was going to sue me under some federal law. I read in Bud Hibbs website that these guys are the worst. Anyone that can give me any advice on how to deal with them would be helping me alot.
