No offense to Linda, but that's some very bad advice. Debt collectors are exactly what the name implies - They collect debt whether valid and whether not valid. They do this because people try to lye low in hopes they will disappear. Doesn't usually happen! The next thing you know you'll be on the receiving end of a summons to the black robed majistrates chambers. These guys harrass and sue because they make money and that is their jobs. So unless you got something nifty up your sleeve then their going to keep harrassing and suing. You might want to investigate the $contract method at least it will keep you from giving up a bunch of money all at one time or through attachments of your assets.
