I simply want to reduce my risk of being sued. If I'm sued, I'll most likely have to declare BK to avoid wage garnishment (I live in CA), bank acct seziure, and other things a judgement creditor can do. So far, no one has sued, but a lot of my debt has just charged off. I don't want a BK on my credit report for next 7-10 years, and some types of credit/job applications ask "Have you ever declared BK?", although I don't know if this is legal.
