I have never considered using a debt negotiation company. So, I don't know if that would be useful.

What I can say is that saying and doing nothing got me hauled into Small Claims Court in May 1995 by GE Capital. That resulted in a Judgment still in effect. Then doing nothing result in a 1099-C in 1997 by First Card. Now, doing nothing has resulted in a being sued by Chase Manhattan in a limited Civil action.

Yes, sitting and doing may work. Then again, it might not.
