You have an alternative:

Go see a BK lawyer, find out what your options are, give him a retainer.

When you are contacted by creditors, send them a notice, in writing CRRR to contact ONLY your lawyer, include a copy of a confirmation letter from the lawyer.

If you are served, it would be at his/her office and you would then be able to take whatever steps are neccessary.

However, if the lawyer provides you with a letter from his/her office affirming the contact information, and the letterhead clearly indicates the area of specialty, (i.e. BK ), it is possible that any potential lawsuits will be averted.

This MAY cost you more than filing BK, and you MAY wind up having to file anyway, besides paying the lawyer for these services, however, there is a strong likelyhood you can avert both BK and lawsuits with this method.
