I recieved a letter from MBNA that is as follows....

This is our final notice....

You have 10 days to prevent this debt from being written off.....

We will likely sell it to a 3rd party.....

You can make a payment of $$$$ to prevent this.....

That's the letter, here's the question.
This account is around 6000. and I live in Alabama. I've had one account for more $$$$ charged off by MBNA already. i rally don;t have the $$$ they want and am hesitant to get into the "I'll scrape it together every month" scenario again. That 'scraping got me close to repo on the house and car, lights and utlities behind etc.... Today, credit cards aren't getting the full amount and MBNA gets nothing but the basics (house, car, utilities) are paid up.....

What should I do, try to scrape and pay up or let them write off...I don't want to get another foreclosure note ever again. Also I'm already seeing calls coming in from the collection agency on this account - they're coming from Ca. and Texas. My 1st thought is to let them burn up the phone lines, turn the ringer off and let MBNA and 3rd party dial till they get tired of dead air!
