But what does the SOL mean ? if that is the Status of Limitations I thought that was only for when they sue ?

Here what I am trying to do is improving my CR by having some real negative charges removed ( as Charged off accounts) and that is the reason why I am wondering if dropping a R9 for a R5 is good or just not good at all.

I am moving to Rochester,NY in a few months and would love to be able to buy a home without having to pay higher interest because I have problems on my CR.
I saved up for the last 5 years to have a good sized downpmt ready.
