My ex and I are being sued in district court. Divorce decree says debt was his. SOL has passed, but plaintiff has not provided me with exact date despite two requests. Ex refuses to respond at all. We are in California. I'm told divorce decree means nothing...why? How do I get the date of breach if the plaintiff refuses to supply this? If I attend the trial and he doesn't, am I likely to get stuck with the whole thing? Is it better to try to settle before the trial or to let it go to trial?
