No problem. Because I got an updated report from Equifax, which clearly states:
"Inquiries that display to companies (may impact your credit score). The section lists companies that requested your credit file. Credit grantors may view these requests when evaluating your credit." Then it lists the name of the Collection Agency with an inquiry date of 12/2003.

They have already violated the FDCPA. First, I sent them a request for validation with a limited C&D by mail. They called me a week after I got the green card back and I told them about the letter. The woman I spoke wanted to know what Validation meant and said that letter means nothing to her because she is collecting a debt. This debt was paid off this month to the Original Creditor and the CA is still causing problems.

I want to know what I can do, since they did this inquiry on my report and I never gave them permission to do so. This effects my credit score and my 3-6 month goal is to buy a house, which is totally beside the point. It's the principal and legalities of it all. This CA, Outsource Receivables, in Ogden, Utah is a real problem. The OC said they have had numerous complaints about their "threatening" tactics.

Do I have any kind of case to sue them? I did not get the name of the person that called me and their number is long gone from my Caller ID. But this inquiry on my CR is in "writing".
