I enjoy the board and have learned quite a bit. Per the rules I live in SC and have 6 charged off accounts (total $20,000)with the last payments made in late '97 to early '98. I get letters from time to time from CA's but I would like to know the fasted way to clean up my act because I am getting married late 2004 and will need to buy a house soon after. Here are my questions.

1) Can the CA continue to add interest based on the original agreement?
2) I would like to dispute everything, because there are inconsistencies with every account. Should I space these out and send three at a time every six weeks?
3) Should I dispute (validate) first with the CRA's or the CA or both. Also should I send validation letters to all three CRA's at once or does it matter.
4) Should I consider the offers for settlement I have recieved from Northland Group? Provided I have a written agreement that they will remove the TL completly.
5) What should I do about duplicate accounts from different CA on my CR.
6) I have a student loan and a car loan active now. How many secured cards should I use for credit building?

Thanks...
