Providian/ 10,000!!!

I owe Providian 10,000 on 2 accounts, they were both charged off last November(2002). I recieved collection letters up until about 9 months ago. I had lost my job, have tons of school loans and other credit cards- and they raised my interest rate to 29.8 percent on both cards!!- AND THIS WAS before I stopped paying- I had never even made a late payment,and they did this to me. Anyway, after losing my job, those were the two accounts I could not pay. Anyway, I have since moved and they do not have my phone #. No collections letters in 9 months. When will I be sued?? I check my credit report every month looking for a judgement(because I wouldnt put it past Providian to say i was served papers, when I wasnt)The only address they have of mine is a PO Box. My credit is awful and i have school loans on my credit report, and i rent an apt- do not own a house. Im just curious because I want to declare bankruptcy BEFORE they sue me- but would like to save up the 1200.00 its going to cost me. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
