I am less than clear on your situation. Has a Judgment been entered against you? Since your message uses the word "Appeal," I will assume that a Judgment has been entered. Do you have the means to carry out the Appeal? It's not cheap. Superior Court's Special Civil Part, in NJ, FAQs says that you can appeal a decision within 45 days. I don't know if that would help you or not. You may want to visit the courthouse and look through cases filed by the same plaintiff. You can always input "time-barred debt" to the search engine of your choice.
