Chase was reporting a charged off, sold account as being past due and owing the full balance.... Collect AMerica was ALSO on the report at the same time showing the account because they bought it from Chase.

I disputed both Chase and Collect America. CA came off (I had requested validation and they had not given it yet), Chase verified as owing the full balance and still past due.

I disputed Chase AGAIN. And sent a "if you didn't get CRA request for verification please let me know as it appears they verified false information and its either a FCRA violation on Chase for verifying or a slip up worthy of lawsuit on CRA behalf."

Verified balance AGAIN and added more lates - beyond date of charge off and selling account to CA.

Disputed by phone AGAIN - made CRA rep go over the entire TL with fine toothed comb until I felt sure she had found everythign wrong with it HERSELF!

This time reported as sold/transferred, $0 balance BUT - with lates added all te way up to this month and reporting on EQ as CURRENT STATUE: 120 days past due...

So enough disputing - I'm suing! Filing small claims after new years. My question is how much can I sue for - $1000 or $1000 per time they verified false information??? I will be calling EQ today and requesting evidence of their verification so I have names at Chase who verified this crap and proof that they did verify... Think if I fill out the small claims papers and send them to Chase's registered agent I can make them settle out of court???? Or will they make me go all the way since they are such a big company???? I don't care either way - I know I have enough proof that they are screwing with my reports! I plan on forcing Collect AMerica into a corner too so I can get proof that they bought the account and I paid it... So there will be no doubt that Chase has no rights to claim I owe them anythign or that I am past due NOW on anything,.
