Lines of Credit do show up on your credit report as a line of credit. I have one and it is on my credit report. In my opinion, the only time it is better to use a line of credit to pay off credit card debt is if it is going to save you interest. If you credit cards are high interest, and often they will raise your interest rates if you come close to the high limit amount on your credit cards, then it is good to use your line of credit (if the interest rate on the line of credit is smaller.

I am understanding LOC as meaning Line of Credit. If it is something else, please disregard my reply.
