I checked my credit report and it says the guarantor charged off the account. But the account is with the Wolpoff lawyer. What does it mean that my account is charged off? Does that mean the cc wrote off my account? If the cc wrote off the account, how can Wolpoff try and collect through the arbitration? Is it typical to have the account "charged off" but then assigned to a ca. I call the cc but they said I had to deal with the ca now that the account is with the ca.
