I had 3 credit accts. that I defaulted on in 1990. In January 2003 I get a letter from northland group trying to collect on one of the accts. I ignored them and never heard from them again. In June 2003 I get a letter from Camco. I tried to ignore them but they kept calling, with the help of scott I sent a C&D and sol letter and I never heard from them. My question is should I have sent the northland group a sol letter? I was reading one of why chats responses and he stated if I have sent a sol letter they would not be able to sue me. I still have the original letter. Should I continue ignore the northland group or should I send them a sol letter, that way I would be able to head off a lawsuit ? Thanx for any help
