I had mega credit problems and I did ignore collection agents. The stratedy worked for me. My credit was dead, and I couldn't pay. I think it depends on your situation, do you have assets that can be attached. I got legal advice very early on. What state are you in. Is this a joint account or individual account. It all matters when it comes to the law. I am not even close to being able to really answer your question, but I have asked a couple of questions that will help the others to answer you. What about SOL (statue of limitations)
