Hello felow Ohioan Ist, I am not an attorney, but I think here in Ohio there is no wage garnishment until after a law suit has been filed and you lose thus giving the plaintiffs a judgement. I also do not think that they, a CA, can get into your checking account, unless you give them permission, until after a law suit is won by them. Why Chats advice about BK chapter 13 is good advice if your circumstance dictate that. No further interest charges and after 3 years of payments its over with I think, even if there is still a balance owing (not real sure on this though). Good luck do some reading here and other web sites, Maybe you have access to funds from reatives, and be in a position to make settlement offers. Some here say as low as 30 and 40%.
