Not respondig within 30 days does not validate. that you are not disputing the letter as the wording might lead you to believe. The collection agency, is required to tell you who the original creditor was. From there you can figure out the SOL. If they haven't mentioned the original creditor, chances are good that SOL applies. I think they just might be blowin smoke, CAs are known for that. Just my 2cents.
