Did you have a written contract with the lawyer?

If so, the SOL is 10 years.

If not, it is 4 years, UCC goods and services.

If you are beyond SOL, send the SOL letter.

If you had a signed contract, (signed by BOTH parties) then you can still be sued, so I would be VERY careful about any dispute or validation.
