First of all your mother will not be held responsible for payment on the account.. She will probaly get a couple of calls in regards to getting in contact with your brother.. Best thing that she could do is just tell the truth when the credit card companies call.. If she knows a Number ect for the Companies to call your brother, she should give it to them.. your . MBNA will be able to find him eventually.. Do not worry about Him getting arrested , ect. that will never happen.. It is just to bad that he did this to your mother.. Do not worry..
