They might have changed the rules somewhat. My sister applied under an FHA plan about six years ago and one of the stipulations was that she could not sell it before seven years or she would have to pay a penalty. It was in her contract. She also went bankrupt five years afterwords, and this mortgage was included in the bankruptcy so I don't know what happened to that rule.

My brother on the other hand just applied for an FHA mortgage this year and he didn't say anything about having to keep his house.

SO they might have changed.
