st: Get your mother's credit reports, on line IMMEDIATELY.

nd: Opt out and put a fraud alert on her reports IMMEDIATELY.

rd: Check the accounts from your brother to see HOW they are being reported.

th: Find out if your mother actually ever used these accounts and signed any applications or charge slips.

th: IF she never signed anything, send in a dispute to the CRA's that these are not her accounts.

th: If she is reported as AU, she is fairly safe from any harrassment, if she is reported as Joint, there will be a BIG problem.

In addition, I need to say that although the CA SunkissedBeach is fair game, her dog, a pedigreed Pekingese, is NOT. The poor little pooch has enough to bear being used as a character witness without being called a "mongrel"
