There is nothing MORAL about paying Joe $100 when Joe “bought” the debt from Jane for $3. The credit system is not set up to allow people to make “good” on their debts, because Jane (CC companies) takes a federal tax deduction of $35 on the debt. If anyone owes any entity, it is the US Treasury.

The morality of all this is very clear, paying the Extortionist Joe (Collection Agencies) only encourages their filthy, unproductive, racketeering activities. It is impossible to make good on your debt.

SunkissedBeach is suffering from Stockholm Syndrome. She was abused and brainwashed by collectors into thinking she had to make good her debt by paying the extortionists, and has now taken up their cause by becoming an extortionist collector herself. She doesn’t sound like the typical sick, sadistic, psychopath who normally gravitates to a job as a collector, but I may be wrong.

To everyone else: Do the moral thing which is to NEVER pay a collection agency.

For SunkissedBeach Stockholm Syndrome
Major Indicators that Stockholm Syndrome has developed:
Victim has feelings of love and hate for the abuser.
Victim is very grateful for any kindness shown by the abuser.
Victim denies or rationalizes violence by the abuser.
Victim focuses on the abuser's needs.
Victim sees world from abuser's perspective.
Victim perceives those trying to help her as the "bad guys" and the abuser is the "good guy".
Victim finds it difficult to leave the abuser even when it is okay to do so.
Victim fears the abuser will come back to get her, even if he is dead or in prison.
Victim shows signs of PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) including depression, low self-esteem, anxiety reactions, paranoia and feelings of helplessness, and recurring nightmares and flashbacks.
Peace.
