question on settling or otherwise paying cc debt

i have seen a lot on settling or paying debts..speaking of open end ones..ie credit cards. my issue is the interest. i cant make enuff payment amounts to dent it. so i dont see how i can settle anything. cap1 nor the CAs will even come close to discussing stopping fees..lowering interest..etc. they still have the late fee and overlimit on some! that is 60$ plus over 100$ interest. i see no way to pay this down..its many times my original payment i couldnt afford and now is of course on the niagra falls of credit. they wont stop or lower anything. so any ideas? of course i want to pay this..but once 2 months was up it was wayyyy beyond my way to pay. it has only escalated since. that alone is close to 200$ on fees and interest..wouldnt touch the balance..so i simply see no point in giving them this much if i even had it to begin with. i dont btw . mine will not hear of any workable solution. views welcome! ty!
