at least in texas...our house was "excluded" ..of course.. frm ours. didnt make no diff to citifinancial. they saw the bankrupcty word and sent us into foreclosure. the judge did not sign the discharge in a timely manner to them..(right like i can make a district judge sign anything!) so we stayed in constant foreclosure with legal fees. no way to get out of it..but fight in court starting cost quoted at 5,000$. ha ha, if our payment was a day late we got a certified letter and more legal fees. plus our interest went to 5% compounded DAILY. . i never understood THAT ONE. so should u file..keep checking that ur lawyer is doin his job../.that papers r moving along..that companies u care about..cars..vehicles..r notified in timely ways. a lot can get messed up in this. and again..citi is another who is nasty as hell in the BK dept. and has no clue what is goin on nor care. even tho every payment was made ...reasonably on time..within less than a week of due date..once they saw BK filed they went crazy. again dont be naive like i was...i wish u all luck and good wishes tonite...
