Seizure Bank Accounts/ UNIFUND

This site has me utterly paranoid! Anyway, UNIFUND- one of the worst, has a charge account of mine for $7000.00, according to my credit report they bought my account 6 months ago! I have not recieved one letter, -they dont have my current unlisted phone #, anyway, I am wondering what steps can be taken regardding my savings account- i have 3500.00 in it, how do you dind banks that are not under Checksystems? I do not have any family who can open up an account for me, and i am truly on my own with this- Also, why hasnt this horrible CA even sent me a letter yet- i have checked with my court(district) and there has been nothing filed. I have NO assets, and tons of student loans. Please help!! I dont want to lose the small amount of money ive saved!
