Thank you all for your input - right now I feel like I am alone in this mess and that she somehow has the upper hand. Could I affix responsibility for this debt to her legally?

The state is Georgia -- is it possible for her to file personal bankruptcy (ch 7) and the court leave me and property (a motorcycle) that is in my name alone?

I know that I am all over the map with these questions but this pathetic situation covers so many areas other than just credit and debt. Thanks.
